Uses of Dimethyl Disulfide:
Used as an intermediate in the synthesis of the organophosphorus insecticide fenthion, the intermediate p-methylthio-m-cresol for amiton, and the intermediate p-methylthiophenol for sulprofos. It can also be used as a solvent and purifying agent for catalysts.
